3165 is a space- and money-saving device, being distributed by Racal Instruments, one of the industry leaders. In addition to this, the item comes with a unique capability of two independent output channels, which provide extra functionality and value that wouldn't normally be found in a single output waveform generator.

Other features included are the separate channel user-selectable triggering, as well as the user-selectable clock frequency. The performance is reliable, continued and uninterrupted, and can be fully calibrated with the use of the integrated software. Note that the 14-bit, high-speed digital to analog converters and the 14-bit resolution also provide high speed output signal generation.

Finally, each of the channels comes with a user-selectable, three-pole, low-pass filter, with a cut-off frequency of 6MHz.
